NRA Under Fire - PBS Frontline

Anybody catch this show tonight?

I'm not a big fan of the modern NRA, before they became a Repug lobbyist group instead of primarily hunting and gun safety oriented

Found it interesting nonetheless.

My membership to NRA expires this month. They will see no more of my money - ever.

Lots of NRA history in there. We don't see the recent shake ups.

One problem, early on, is Oswald's rifle was said to be .38 caliber. 6.5mm is closer to a quarter inch. Small critique, I know.

I can see why LaPierre gets along so well with this president. They're both grifters.

Found it funny that LaPierre isn't even that knowledgeable on firearms or shooting sports

Just a swamp thing, with a cause he will get $$$ for

The range that I use requires NRA membership. Otherwise I would never join.

Same here. The Mission Trap & Skeet club was chartered by the City and that was part of the conditions.

Thanks for sharing. Was pretty informative, in a historical sense anyway. Definitely shed some light on the intricacies of the politics and characters involved in such.

I usually watch Frontline, but I'm behind due to all the stuff I have to deal with right now. I'll check it out soon.
