Federal judge greenlights lawsuit against Kyle Rittenhouse

1
Kyle Rittenhouse, a Wisconsin man who skyrocketed to fame in right-wing circles after shooting and killing two protesters during a social rights march in 2020, is now facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim's father, according to PBS.

The lawsuit was filed by John Huber, the father of one of the two victims, and also includes city officials and police officers. U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman dismissed motions from the city officials, police officers and Rittenhouse to dismiss the civil rights case in its entirety.

Huber's lawsuit states that Rittenhouse conspired with police officers to intentionally cause harm to the protesters who were marching in reaction to the death of Jacob Blake, killed by a Wisconsin police officer.

Judge appointed by Bill Clinton, a Democrat. Means the judge himself is very likely also a Democrat.

Interesting that the article makes no mention of that whatsoever, yet in the strike-down of the domestic violence disqualification, the article's author makes a point of saying the following:

"a conservative-leaning appeals court ruled Thursday"

https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/02/politics ... index.html

The author goes further into partisan details about the judges further down in the article. No surprise, given that it's CNN.

I've seen this pattern of bias for years, now. This is typical of Democrat-leaning "journalists" when discussing judicial decisions that they personally don't like, especially when it concerns firearms. It's telling. And that's true no matter what one may think of Rittenhouse himself.

Kenosha was the worst possible precedent for unarmed self-defense against an armed assailant we could have asked for.

In a slightly different timeline, where the ballroom shootings went down differently and Tsay didn't get the Cobray away, the shooter could have claimed self defense after shooting him - and walked. All he was doing in the second ballroom was standing there, armed. No reason for the assault. Perfectly justified in killing Tsay in self defense by Kenosha rules.

Of course, the first ballroom situation remains an unprovoked mass shooting, but following the Kenosha logic, there was no reason to assume he'd already gone full psycho killer when he was just standing there with a pistol in his hand, and the disarm was an unprovoked assault by someone who posed a lethal threat, backed by a crowd of other potentially lethal threats if the shooter was disarmed.

Never mind that the vast majority of mass shooters who get stopped get stopped by unarmed civvies. We don't have that right anymore. The judge in Wisconsin stripped that one away from us. Now all we're allowed to do is carry and shoot - and if we falter, the mass shooters can walk free after shooting us.

What stops armed bad guys is armed good guys,” Senator Ted Cruz suggested in the wake of the Uvalde shooting, echoing many other gun rights advocates over the years.
Eventually, I guess...Not including the 19 or so heavily armed cowards that allowed those children to be killed. Cancun cruz sure could have chosen a better example.

BUT, I am armed to protect me and mine...LE isn't there, and like some cop bean bag has on his tshirt all the time..."nobody is coming, it's up to you'

Even when LE is there, they may not help...particularly if you aren't white and male.

I have no obligation to run towards gun fire. AND, with some "LEO", after they finally show up..they may shoot you. "Bang, Bang, Bang, 'stop or I'll shoot"

I would include "White and female" in that as well. Amy Cooper is hardly the only one who weaponizes race against non-White people when it comes to law enforcement.
