new rifle gets a new scope.

Bought a Tasco Bushnell 4-12x scope to try on the 10/22. The 60+ year old JC Higgins 4x I'd slapped on was okay but the short eye relief meant mounting that sucker way, was back. The new scope has almost 50% longer eye relief as well as adjustable power and parallax settings. Still mounted as a Weaver tip-off. I hope to get it to the range either this week or next week to sight it in. If it works Ill likely also try it on the more experienced rifles as well.

Tasco is not to be sneezed at. I mean a .22 is a sneeze. Anything else and the zero may add a decimal place or two. They are stellar for this rifle.

Once it's working well, it eats ammo. Heard from a friend.
