Re: Breakfast at Epiphany's
26Marketing has had little effect on my gun purchases. Politics and politicians perhaps had some influence. Boy Scouts definitely had an influence, experienced my first thrill at hitting a target. I did enjoy westerns, but never really got any influence to by a western style revolver or rifle. Actually having shot fellow members old guns has made me think about a western revolver, but I just don’t appreciate their appearance. I know shallow. I find a Nagant M1895 revolver much more to my esthetic taste than the typical western revolver. History and personal family connections to particular weapons has had more influence on my purchases than marketing. I’m probably not typical, but I’m also not alone. Marketing works better on some folk than others. I find pushy marketing a turn-off and I tend to ignore. Politicians get me mad and that does get me to purchase. As has been said, some politicians are better gun sellers than actual marketers.
