RIP: The Actor who Created the Model For Trump has Died.

1
Actor Robert Walker, Jr, who played the title role in the Season 1 Star Trek (TOS) episode "Charlie X" has died at 79.

If you watch Trump, his behavior is EXACTLY the same as the spoiled teenager, sole survivor of a shuttle crash, has the power to control things and kill by making anyone and anything disappear.
Quickly, we see that he sees even someone laughing at him as deserving of being made to disappear. He destroys them.
Turns out, he made the shuttle crash by disappearing a key component "Well, they weren't very nice to me!" is his justification--sounds just like Trump, doesn't it?
Anyone who isn't "nice" to him disappears. But Charlie can treat them all like shit because--he can kill them and feels no compunction to be "nice" in return. That also sounds like Trump, doesn't it?

In the end the aliens that gave Charlie the power take him back because they cannot take away his power, and they know he cannot be trusted around people who don't have it. They are able to restore the people he disappeared, but not the shuttle personnel.

Walker's father, Robert Walker, was best know for "Strangers on a Train". His mother was Oscar winning actress Jennifer Jones.

He created a great character that echoes even now, 53 years later. I hope he passed peacefully.
