We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our friend, Florida Chapter President, and podcast wizard; Keith Ellis.
We are all crushed by this news. Keith was a truly great guy. Keith’s leadership in the Florida chapter included regular service days and the incredibly successful 2018 Annual Meeting. He was always smiling, and ready to help. He’d literally give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. He’d make a point to stop by and see you when he was passing through town, even if it meant an hour drive out of the way. His home was permanently available if you were passing through his hometown.
His devotion to service, specifically those regular service days with the LGC Florida chapter for Habitat for Humanity and regular community clean up days are a real legacy that we intend to honor going forward.
All the leadership and many, many members knew him well. In real life. We broke bread, we shared drinks. We stayed at his house. He ferried us from airports.
He was our friend.
He leaves behind his wife Amanda, his sister, mother and grandmother, as well as many, many friends. Memorial services will be held this weekend.
