TALLADEGA, Ala. – If you’re a highpower rifle competitor looking for some real competition practice before the National Matches at Camp Perry in July, or if you’re someone just looking for an excuse to fire your rifle in a fun and competitive setting, read on.

The electronic targets at Talladega were designed specifically for use at Talladega Marksmanship Park – making them unlike any other in the country.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) will be hosting a Talladega High Power CMP Cup Match on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama. The event will conclude Sunday, June 24, and will offer three 1,000-Point Aggregate matches, a 2-Person Team match and an EIC Rifle event.
A winner of the 3,000-Point Aggregate will be named at the end of the event, with other notable honors also recognized. Additionally, the Overall Match Rifle and Service Rifle winners will be awarded $0.50 per point of their three-day average, provided there are 10 or more competitors firing in each category.
Competitors must be10 years or older to compete, but all are welcome to visit the Talladega Marksmanship Park. Competitors over the age of 18 must complete and sign a notarized copy of the CMP Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement that can be complete prior to arrival or at the Marksmanship Park, where a notary will be available. The agreement can be downloaded and completed online at http://www.theCMP.org/Competitions/Forms/Affidavit.pdf.

The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park is a multifaceted and enjoyable destination for firearm supporters of all ages, housing CMP’s own electronic targets and scoring monitors that can only be found at the 500-acre facility.
