The day of the Annual Meeting is the highlight of the year for the club members who attend. Folks look forward all year to getting on the range with old and new friends from previous meetings, the LGC forum, and Facebook. There’s a lot of show and tell, sharing knowledge, and new experiences.

This year the Florida chapter arranged for a day at Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Florida. http://universalshootingacademy.com/

Their impressive facility is nestled in the heart of Florida’s orange groves. It has quite a number of shooting bays for almost any kind of action shooting sports or training. Various large containers of Halloween decorations were seen being taken into storage from the “Haunted Shoot House” match that took place on Halloween. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Universal’s friendly and knowledgeable range officers maintained a very safe environment for action shooting. Newbies were “running and gunning” safely  in short order, and experienced shooters traded tips and stories with the RSO’s and each other.

After a couple more bays filled with engaging challenging and fun targets on the move, shooters retired back to the Hotel to refresh and prepare for the Annual meeting and dinner.
